6th Summer Camp
KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE
SKIATHOS 2003
The sixth Summer Camp of the Greek KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE SKIATHOS 2003 was realized in a great organized success. It took place in the magic site of Koukounaries. It was in the Japanese and European model.
Totally 30 athletes and trainers from Moldova, Romania, and 30 Greek colleague were met in Skiathos (Hotel "Skiathos Palace") and they were trained in a common program of training. They exchanged their experiences and knowledge in the KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE.
Great names of the Kyokushinkai Karate were officially invited as the Shihan Keiji Sampei -6th DAN (Chairman of Grading Committee of IKO) and Shihan Furko Kalman -6th DAN (Member of Grading Committee of IKO) in cooperation with the chief - representative of the Greek KYOKUSHINKAI George Kosmidis and the national trainer Otario Melikiadi.
The program included two training per a day. It was special granted and useful. The Athletes and the trainers had the change to meet many aspects of the traditional and the KIHON-KATA of the KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE.

Among all the invited persons in the Summer Camp were the old championship of SHOTOKAN - KARATE, the old champion of KYOKUSHINKAI PANAGIOTIS ANTONIOY who'll soon be in the Union of the Greek KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE of the family of our founder MAS-OYAMA and the George Evangelidakis (Vice President of Greek KYOKUSHINKAI).
The whole event was closed with the traditional SAYONARA PARTY where the participator took their diplomas and the remembrance gifts (blouses - hats- brelock) which had been given from friends - granted persons of the KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE and especially from Mr. Antoniou Konstantino - sponsor for the athletic sports blouses.
The Greek representative George Kosmidis gave honour slates to the ex under secretary Mr. Aleko Voulgari - honorary President of the Greek KYOKUSHINKAI. Also thanks the Mayor of Skiathos Mr. Prevezano Dimitrio, the president of the athletic organization of the Municipality of Skiathos Mr. Paparizo and the owner of the Hotel "Skiathos Palace" Mr. Taki Derveni. The whole organization was done under the protection of athletic organization of the Municipality of Skiathos because except the propagation and the expounding of the KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE it increases the Athletic Tourism in the area of Magnisia. Its obvious from the great process of the European teams.
The International Summer Camp of Skiathos is considered of the best universal camps of KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE. It happens because of the support of the Derveni bro's of the Hotel "Skiathos Palace" and the Municipal Authority, who entertain the Greek and foreigner Athletes and trainers. There is a page in the Internet and so many famous names of the Universal KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE are meeting there. In the next 7th International Summer Camp, the great Japan teacher of the Universal Organization IKO - TOKYO - Japan expressed their wish to come and they want to teach.
The committee of the Union of the Greek KYOKUSHINKAI KARATE thanks everybody who worked in the success of the 6th Summer Camp. Specially the Greek trainers and presidents of the association Mr. Evagelidakis George, Antoniou Panagioti, Pavlidi Nikolao, Melikiadi Otario, Karapliago Athanasio and Kosmidou Viki.

And a very big thanks to the Shihan Keiji Sampei and Furko Kalman for his support to the Greek Kyokushinkai Association.
